Replace an exercise for another one for the same muscle groups if any of this is true:
- You are no longer getting stronger for reps on the exercise.
- The exercise feels very stale, pump of high tension doesn’t feel in the muscles.
- The exercise gives you joint/connective tissue pain that is getting worse the more you use that exercise.
If an exercise doesn’t meet any of those criteria - leave it in! There should be a good reason to change an exercise, not a reason not to.
